It is All Yours!
“But he answered his father, ‘Behold, these many years I have served you, and I never disobeyed a commandment of yours, but you never gave me a goat, that I might celebrate with my friends. But when this, your son, came, who has devoured your living with prostitutes, you killed the fattened calf for him.’ “He said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that is mine is yours.” (Luke 15:29-31 WEB)
Some of us are waiting passively for Abba God to hand us a goat (a lesser blessing—settling for less), when we are free to take a fattened calf and more, right now by faith!
Notice the older son’s mindset: he saw himself as a servant who was working to please a master, not a son who was loved by his father.
Although he was working hard for his father, his heart wasn’t with his father because he wanted the goat to celebrate with his friends, not to enjoy fellowship with his father.
After the many years of self-inflicted slavery, he couldn’t take it anymore when his younger brother who failed big-time came home without getting any scolding, but instead received a fattened calf and many gifts.
The older brother couldn’t even call him “brother”. He called his younger brother “your son”, showing his bitterness and anger towards his brother who he viewed as unworthy.
The older son represents a works-based Christian who is always trying to earn his own righteousness before God.
He serves and serves, not daring to request and receive the blessings he wants, because he has a religious mindset about God.
“God won’t bless me unless I am serving Him devotedly,” is one of the wrong beliefs such a Christian has.
Of course they don’t receive because they don’t ask. They are just passively waiting for God to hand them blessings, when they should take it now by faith.
The inevitable result is that they become angry at God for not seeming to appreciate their labors.
They also get angry and jealous when new Christians who aren’t serving God as diligently as them get abundantly blessed.
Works-based Christians despise Grace because they boast in how much they do for God—they don’t believe in freely receiving blessings by faith, through Jesus’ finished work at the cross.
But read what the father said: “Son, you are always with me, and all that is mine is yours.”
Firstly, “son” establishes how Abba God views us. We are first of all His children, not primarily His servants. He wants to relate to us through sonship, not servanthood.
A father provides for his children because he loves them. It’s as simple as that.
Secondly, “you are always with me” shows that we don’t fall in and out of righteousness. We are eternally secure in Christ and we are always righteous in Abba God’s eyes.
Lastly, “all that is mine is yours” shows us that God is not restraining our blessings—He has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in Christ Jesus.
ALL that belongs to Abba God is free for you to enjoy—as much as you want, whenever you want.
Why is this possible? Because Jesus paid your sin debt at the cross and you’re now perfectly righteous in Him.
How to receive every blessing? Through faith.
Know that Abba God is not holding anything back from you—get rid of all false religious beliefs that say you have to work to deserve your blessings.
Believe that He is more than willing to supply you with what you want, and confess that what you want to see is now happening.
Faith boldly takes now. Remember: you’re Abba God’s child, you’re always with Him, and all that is His is also yours!

“Thank you, Milton for the anointed sharing of the 37 miracles of Jesus. Right from the 1st miracle, God dropped fresh revelations of His heart to me. It wasn't head knowledge that I experienced. I felt His personality, His loving heart's intents towards me. On top of that, there's also revelation of His healing power. Praise Jesus for transforming my heart and bringing me closer to Him through Milton's sharing.”
